Description
gener8tor runs accelerators and venture capital funds to catalyze community, mentorship, network, conviction and capital to bridge a community’s genius with opportunity. The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships. gener8tor operates venture capital funds and startup accelerators across 45 cities, 25 states and 3 countries, working with more than 300 startups per year. To date, gener8tor has worked with more than 1,500 startups that have cumulatively gone on to raise more than $2B in follow-on capital and employ more than 11,000 people.
gener8tor seeks an accelerator Program Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the gBETA Mobility programs as well as assist with operations across all of gener8tor’s Indiana accelerator programming. This includes recruiting and interviewing startups, organizing program kickoff events, coordinating weekly program events such as startup meetings, cohort community-building events, mentor networking events and organizing demo day events.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the logistics of all aspects of the gBETA Mobility accelerator programs including recruitment, company selection and cohort programming.
- Recruit, vet, and select startup participants for annual gBETA Mobility cohort as well as manage logistics and execute up to two gBETA programs per year according to gener8tor’s established curriculum and best practices.
- Actively participate in all aspects of the accelerator programs including weekly team meetings as well as other cohort engagements to provide concierge-like services.
- Maintain communication with program stakeholders, providing metrics and program outcomes regularly.
- Be the #1 cheerleader for the gener8tor accelerator cohorts.
- Assist alumni with ongoing mentor, sponsor and investor relations following the program with the goal of preparing them for further investment.
- Obsessively seek to improve program processes and grow the network of mentors, potential customers and investors.
- Engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the community and/or industry and, over time, establish themself as a trustworthy and reliable source of mentorship and connections.
- Support your gener8tor teammates across multiple programs.
Requirements
- Entrepreneurial spirit and an organized self-starter.
- Total devotion to the Indianapolis startup ecosystem
- Collaborative, team based mindset. You will be working closely with the Managing Director, founders, our partners and our team in Indiana.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and external relationships.
- Willingness to intensively and rapidly dive deeper into the startup and venture capital communities even if already familiar.
- Flexibility to work some nights and weekends.
- Ability to occasionally travel for in-person events and meetings
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A “no job is beneath me” mentality.
- Commitment to equity across race, place and gender.
Preferences
- Previous startup experience (starting, working at or coaching startups) is a plus.
- Experience in the Mobility industry is a plus.
- At least two years of program or product management experience.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
