Corporate Innovation Partnerships Manager

Location: Remote, US-Based

Salary: $75,000 plus 1% commission on sold opex and $100 per LR host that attends

Description

gener8tor runs accelerators and venture capital funds to catalyze community, mentorship, network, conviction and capital to bridge a community’s genius with opportunity. The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships. gener8tor operates venture capital funds and startup accelerators across 45 cities, 25 states and 3 countries, working with more than 300 startups per year. To date, gener8tor has worked with more than 1,500 startups that have cumulatively gone on to raise more than $2B in follow-on capital and employ more than 11,000 people.

gener8tor’s Corporate Innovation Department plays a critical role in the company’s 10-year vision by creating relationships with corporate innovators and corporate venture capitalists that provide our portfolio companies direct access to potential customers, investors and acquirers, while enabling corporate partners to access cutting-edge technology to move their internal innovation priorities forward. It is also a primary outlet for finding leaders who identify with our cause - that communities succeed best when they invest in their best and brightest.

gener8tor seeks a Corporate Innovation Partnerships Manager to support the activities of this department, including Corporate Innovation Network (CIN) events, and gener8tor’s annual conference series.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with existing CIN members to ensure their engagement at annual conferences as lighting round hosts and thought leaders.
  • Build relationships with new corporations and secure their attendance at annual conferences to hit an aggressive goal of 65 corporate lightning round hosts.
  • Closely collaborate with colleagues to move lightning round hosts through the pipeline to full membership in CIN.
  • Maintain familiarity with corporate innovation priorities and participate in making connections with the broader gener8tor platform.
  • Attend Executives on a Plane trips, CIN Summit, gener8tor Conferences.
  • Take responsibility for a quarterly new member goal, conference sponsor funding goal and overall revenue target.
  • Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and other tailored marketing campaigns.
  • Map and engage prospective accounts around organizational structure, people and existing technology.
  • Manage, track, and report all activities in CRM (HubSpot).
  • 200+ activities per week.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in client or stakeholder relationship management, preferably in professional networks or membership organizations.
  • Experience in managing large networks or working toward ambitious recruitment or partnership targets.
  • Experience in volume based outreach.
  • Experience in quota attainment role.
  • Familiarity with corporate culture and executive-level interactions.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
  • Collaborative, team-based mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and external relationships
  • Willingness to intensively and rapidly dive deeper into the startup and venture capital communities even if already familiar
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25%, work some nights and weekends as required for events such as “Executives on a Plane”, CIN Summits and gener8tor Conferences.
