Program Manager - gBETA North Dakota

Location: Fargo or Grand Forks, ND

Salary: $60,000-$70,000

gener8tor’s turnkey platform for the creative economy connects startup founders, musicians, artists, investors, universities and corporations. The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, Skills, conferences and fellowships.

Our gBETA program accelerates the growth of early-stage companies through its network-driven program. gBETA Program Managers recruit local startups, help them grow through applied mentorship, connections and support, operate the accelerator programs, engage alumni, and are gener8tor’s front-line to evangelize the startup communities in which they work. We are looking for ambitious community advocates whose hunger to support entrepreneurs, connect with mentors and investors, and strengthen the startup ecosystem is never satiated. No need for applicants to come with existing startup experience. gBETA Program Managers have come from prior careers in journalism, academia, economic development, science, politics, law and nonprofits!

  • Build relationships with stakeholders (mentors, investors, corporate partners) and engage with them across the community.
  • Recruit, vet, and select startup participants for gBETA Fargo and gBETA Grand Forks
  • Plan logistics and execute two gBETA programs per year, one in each location.
  • Assist alumni with ongoing mentor, sponsor and investor relations following the program with the goal of preparing them for investment via the gener8tor North Dakota accelerator program.
  • Be the #1 cheerleader for the startups and entrepreneurs we work with.
  • Support the gener8tor team across multiple programs.

  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends– we’re not a Monday-Friday, 9-5 operation!
  • At least one year of program or product management experience is a plus.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

At gener8tor we…

  • See genius in every community. Across race, place and gender, we believe the company has a chance to accomplish a generational challenge in bridging genius with opportunity.
  • Never self-defeat and have a “play to win” mentality. We revolve everything we do around helping the entrepreneurs in our programs.
